Ifor Evans appointed as Allwyn Group CTO
With effect from June 1st, Allwyn has named Ifor Evans, formerly of Bally’s Corporation, as its new global chief technology officer.
Tony Khatskevich, who will now work with the Allwyn board and CEO Robert Chvátal in an advisory capacity, is replaced by Evans. Evans, a seasoned executive, leaves Bally’s after five years as group CTO to join Allwyn. He had previously held the similar role at Gamesys, which Bally’s purchased in October 2021.
Earlier in his career, Evans worked in similar roles at Alibaba/Lazada Group and Property Guru Singapore. He also spent time as head of development for platform at Betfair. Evans stated:
“I’m delighted to have been appointed as group CTO of Allwyn. The company’s commitment to social impact is evident across its global footprint. I look forward to helping the team to develop even better lotteries and new game formats through the power of cutting-edge technology and future thinking.”
Chvátal was also delighted by the appointment; he observed that Evans delivered tech solutions in gaming and IT space effectively.
“He has exceptional strategic capabilities, proven operational effectiveness and strong experience in our markets.”
Chvátal also found time to acknowledge Khatskevich who joined the company from Playtech in the month of September in the year 2018.
“He played a pivotal role in establishing a strong technology function for Allwyn. He conceived and led technology initiatives that have helped to drive innovation across the Group. I’m very pleased that we will continue to benefit from Tony’s wisdom, knowledge, ideas and warm personality in his new role. He will continue to help us to fulfil our business growth and ambitions.”
