Catena Media promotes Edward Midolo to CTO
As part of its ongoing organizational changes, Catena Media has announced the promotion of Edward Midolo to Chief Technology Officer.
Following Michael Gerrow‘s appointment as Chief Financial Officer, who oversaw the organization’s financial planning and analysis division, Midolo received a promotion.
Catena Media announced Midolo’s promotion in a statement that emphasized his outstanding leadership in prior roles and his contribution to industry and company innovation. After beginning his career at Catena Media six years ago as Head of Technical Operations, Midolo was elevated to Vice President of Systems Technology and Head of Central Technology.
Midolo worked at CCBill and Gamesys Network prior to joining Catena Media. In his role as CTO, Midolo will steer Catena Media’s technological efforts in 2024, giving AI special attention. After a difficult time, the corporation intends to increase its investments in artificial intelligence and technology developments in order to boost performance.
A corporate shake-up has also occurred at Catena Media in addition to the leadership changes, as a result of the company’s disappointing fourth-quarter 2023 performance. Along with an eighty-eight percent decline in adjusted EBITDA, the company reported forty-one percent decline in revenue from the prior year.
Additionally, Catena Media disclosed that its board of directors will now consist of just six members. The nominating committee suggested that Erick Flinck and Dan Castillo be elected as additional board members, in addition to the reelection of Øystein Engebretsen, Theodore Berquist, Adam Krejcik, and Sean Hurley. Additionally, Flinck is a nominee for the chairmanship of the board of directors.
