Manuel Stan steps in as CEO of Catena Media
Manuel Stan, a Kindred Group veteran, was appointed CEO of Catena Media following the resignation of outgoing CEO Michael Daly.
The board of directors of Catena selected Stan to be in charge of both the company’s foreign and domestic operations. Pierre Cadena, the vice president of corporate strategy, who was temporarily appointed in Daly’s place, will be succeeded by the executive.
Starting on the first of July 2024, Stan, who is stationed in Las Vegas, will serve as the company’s leader.
Stan worked with Kindred Group for a total of sixteen years, mostly in marketing positions. In May of 2018, he was promoted to the Senior Vice President and general manager in North America. Stan had a significant influence on the operator’s affiliate marketing campaign when he held those roles. Stan’s expertise in corporate governance, budgeting and analysis, company growth, and consumer marketing was also highlighted by Catena.
After conducting a more comprehensive strategic analysis, Kindred declared in the month of November 2023 that it would be shutting down its activities in North America. The larger company eventually sold to the massive French lottery company FDJ. By the second quarter of this year, the Unibet operator anticipates that the departure process will be finished.
Stan expressed his delight at being given the chance to lead Catena Media on the next phase of its journey, which would see the company take on new challenges and increase its footprint in North America. He is excited to work with the teams to fully take advantage of the opportunities ahead.
Manuel was the best applicant for this role out of all the names that were considered, according to Catena Media chair Göran Blomberg, and they are very happy that he is joining them. Manuel was characterized by Blomberg as a leader with extensive industrial expertise and shown leadership abilities. Additionally, he mentioned that Manuel has a thorough understanding of the operator and affiliate aspects of the industry, which will be very helpful to Catena Media and their organization that is focused on the North American market as they start the next phase for the company.
