Angelo Alberoni named Technical Director of IBJR
Angelo Alberoni has been appointed as The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming’s (IBJR) Technical Director.
The executive, who has more than fifteen years of industry experience, will take charge of the organization’s technical agenda and keep an eye out for the release of ordinances that specify the standards and procedures anticipated for the betting market.
Alberoni, previously employed by Betsson Group, Betcris, and Betmotion, is currently the country manager for Novibet in Brazil. According to the institute, Alberoni’s work with the IBJR will support efforts to enhance the sector following the recent regulation in the country.
Andre Gelfi, President of IBJR, stated:
“Based on his experience in large betting houses, leading operations in the Brazilian market and active in the search for a safe and responsible sector, IBJR’s choice to appoint Angelo Alberoni as new technical director follows the institute’s proposal to continue evolving with the work done so far.”
Gelfi went on to say that it is an initiative to uphold a legitimate and continually expanding Brazilian industry. The IBGR was established to promote the discussion surrounding the regulation of this industry in Brazil and to provide data in support of the formulation of regulations that would allow sports betting businesses to function lawfully while safeguarding the interests of players.
