Kindred gives objection to slot deposit caps

Kindred Group, online gambling operator based in Sweden, criticizes the state government in their suggestions to reaffirm impermanent limitations on iGaming, containing an SEK4000 /€387.2) live slots deposit cap for each week.

The short-term bans on virtual wagering will go into effect from 7 February, staying in force till June.

The suggested restrictions contain login time limitations for virtual or land-based gamblers, including deposit caps. The bonus amount of slot machines or other locations out of a casino must not exceed SEK100.

Kindred objected the bill of state authorities, though it had praised the actions that the state authority undertook against the pandemic. The gambling operator asserts that the campaign is to weaken the safety of the customers. The company names the measures groundless.

“If the authorities decide to launch the campaign against wagering, the solution will be to apply the same campaign which was initiated throughout the past restriction.”

BOS, Swedish live wagering association, criticized the restrictions as well. Swedish-based regulator Spelinspektionen does not resist the ban though being uncertain of its effectiveness.

It’s not the first deposit cap limitation presented by Swedish authorities. In June 2020, they have initially submitted the SEK5000 limit and met serious objections.
