BetMGM is replacing FanDuel as The Associated Press‘s primary official sports odds provider.

The AP and BetMGM confirmed the news on Thursday, stating that FanDuel would no longer provide odd feeds for the media giant.

Commenting on the arrangement, AP Director of Global Text and Commercial Products Barry Bedlan stated that the media was delighted to have a partner of BetMGM’s standing on board.

Bedlan added:

“People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences.”

BetMGM is a fitting choice because the company already offers sports betting in 29 North American locations and plans to expand further.

BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost also responded and welcomed the partnership, saying he was thrilled with the possibility to see his company score another important success for its credibility and prestige in the United States and worldwide.

Prevost added:

“Being a trusted resource within that forum is an important connection to expand our reach, and we look forward to providing content that enhances the organization’s coverage.”

The Associated Press has been at the vanguard of sports and sports betting, providing fixtures to its audiences well before PASPA was dissolved in 2018. The company has more than three decades of expertise as an odds provider, and it aims to continue that history with this new partnership.
