SBC Summit Tbilisi to feature Raimonds Elbakjans
SBC Summit Tbilisi will feature an insightful keynote with Raimonds Elbakjans.
The upcoming installment of SBC Summit Tbilisi is scheduled to be held on the 23rd and 24th of October in the capital of Georgia, where the online gambling market is expanding at pace and presenting industry firms with an expansive list of opportunities. The conference will feature numerous top professionals from the region who will share their invaluable insights with the event’s attendees. One of its most noteworthy speakers will be Raimonds Elbakjans, former athlete and Founder of the youth sports initiative Ghetto Games.
During the keynote titled The Untapped Potential of Street Sports, Elbakjans will talk about the rapidly expanding prevalence of street sports, highlighting the rising barriers to entry to the sports space for many young people around the world. He will explore the needs and goals of various youth initiatives and will share his insights on how wagering operators can take advantage of the opportunities offered by street sports.
Elbakjans started his career in sports when he was only 8 years old. He played for several youth basketball teams in Latvia, starting with Ridzene when he initially entered the space in the first half of the 90s. Elbakjans played basketball till 2005 when he retired because of health issues.
Several years after retiring, the athlete founded Ghetto Games with the aim of supporting younger people living in disadvantaged communities in Riga through sports. Throughout its time on the market, the initiative has been transforming street sports, helping younger athletes enter the space and start their careers. Ghetto Games has also been able to expand to 25 countries in four continents around the world and partner with leading sports championships like the La Liga.
