Scientific Games extends collaboration with Ohio Lottery

The Ohio Lottery will continue making use of the offerings of Scientific Games through 2025.

The newly extended contract mainly revolves around the developer’s SCiQ POS and scratch-off offerings, which have been delivering excellent results for the state-run lottery business since the two organizations first entered a working relationship around four years ago. The development firm’s products have helped the operator achieve consistent expansion in terms of revenue, which has then been used by the state of Ohio to fund local education initiatives.

The developer further detailed the growth achieved by the Ohio Lottery thanks to its offerings, with the operator’s scratch-off revenues going from 1.6 billion dollars in the first year of their collaboration to over 2.3 billion dollars in the 2023 financial year. The lottery was also able to deploy the SCiQ system across over 800 retail establishments, further enhancing its operations.

“We are thrilled to continue working with the Ohio Lottery to continue optimizing their offerings to generate more revenue for the state’s education initiatives. Additionally, they were one of the first state-run operations of its kind to launch our SCiQ system across various establishments in the state, which further helped it deliver successful results.”

remarked the President of Scientific Games’ American Operations, John Schulz.
