Sportech secures extension with Danske Spil
The Racing and Digital division of Sportech has acquired an extension of its technology licensing and services deal made with the popular Danish operator Danske Spil. The agreement is set to carry on for several years from now.
This new deal will see Sportech’s Quantum System Tote pari-mutuel betting system being provided to Danske Spil, in addition to a wide range of operational tools. For instance, they will be supplying the operator with the most recent versions of their online pools betting platform as well as a brand new interface that consolidates data and wagering.
This comes after an initial integration of the systems all across Danske Spil’s gaming terminals in November of 2020.
The chief executive of Danske Spil, Niels Erik Folmann, stated:
“The team at Sportech have been responsive to the needs of Danske Spil as we pursue our growth and sustainability objectives, and their technology solutions provide a strong platform upon which to expand our delivery of pools betting on horseracing in Denmark.”
Despite the fact that it is a market that many may not consider at first, horseracing is one of the biggest markets out there and there are many opportunities here for affiliates to take a look at. With new pari-mutuel technologies consistently appearing on the market, there are lots of improvements to be made. Affiliates should keep an eye out for changes such as the ones in this extension as an example of the changes being made in this industry.
