Interview with Maddison Newton – Senior Affiliate Manager at Boss Partners

AffPapa recently had the opportunity to interview the Senior Affiliate Manager of Boss Partners, Maddison Newton, who shared her thoughts on how the online gambling industry could evolve in the future and talked about a few of the sector’s most innovative technologies, namely AI, crypto, and VR.

Yeva: While predicting the future is not the easiest task, how do you think the iGaming industry will change over the coming half a decade, Maddison? How do you think the sector will be affected by these changes?

Predicting the future with certainty is challenging, but some potential trends in the iGaming industry could include advancements in virtual reality, AI-driven personalization, and increased focus on mobile gaming. These changes might lead to more immersive experiences, tailored gameplay, and improved accessibility. The sector could be affected by these changes through enhanced user engagement, expanded market reach, and potentially increased regulatory scrutiny to ensure responsible gaming practices.

Yeva: Continuing on the topic of changes, which innovative technologies and ideas do you think can reshape the iGaming industry as we know it over the coming few years?

You know, there’s some really cool stuff on the horizon for the iGaming world. Just think about Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Imagine putting on a headset and suddenly finding yourself inside a glitzy casino, hearing the roar of a sports crowd, or exploring a magical realm.

Of course, with all these exciting changes, there’ll be new rules to play by. We’ll need to figure out how to keep gaming safe, protect our personal info, and even how we move our money across borders. Exciting times ahead, right?

Yeva: Let’s now explore a few of the industry’s most innovative and unique technologies, starting with artificial intelligence. What potential do you think AI has in the iGaming space, Maddison?

Well, diving into AI’s potential for iGaming is like opening a treasure chest of possibilities. AI can give players a personalized touch, suggesting games they might like based on past choices. Imagine a system that remembers your favorite games or themes and recommends new ones just for you. But it’s not just about the gaming side; AI can be the unseen guard, helping spot any unusual activities or ensuring games play out fairly.

On the game creation front, AI could assist designers in crafting games that players genuinely resonate with. However, with all these advancements, it’s essential we tread carefully, prioritizing player privacy and fairness. The future of iGaming with AI? It looks promising and full of potential.

Yeva: Cryptocurrency is another one of the industry’s emerging, though relatively more established, trends. As the prevalence of crypto casinos continues to increase around the world, how do you think they will impact players and operators?

For the players, it’s like being handed a new set of cards. With cryptocurrency, they can keep their transactions private, which many appreciate. And who wouldn’t love quicker transactions? Plus, the whole world of iGaming might just get a bit larger with unique crypto-based games.

Now, for the operators, it’s a game-changer. They can reach out to game enthusiasts across the globe, making borders a thing of the past. And not just that – the cost savings from reduced transaction fees and the added layers of security? That’s a big win.

Yeva: How important do you think it is for the user experience to evolve and improve over time for the industry to continue growing, Maddison? What changes would you like to see over the course of the near future that could accomplish that effectively?

Remember the days when games were slow and just not user-friendly? No one wants to go back there.

To keep the industry thriving, we need to walk in the players’ shoes. Every button they click, every page they navigate—it all matters. As for changes in the near future, I’d love to see more intuitive game designs. Maybe some adaptable interfaces that change based on user behavior, or even better accessibility features ensuring everyone can join in the fun, regardless of any disabilities.

Yeva: Let’s now briefly shift the focus of our discussion to the trends and innovations of the past. In your experience, which iGaming trends have taken the sector by surprise over the past few years?

The rise of cryptocurrencies, for instance, was something not many saw coming, but now it’s a game-changer for so many players and operators. And let’s chat about mobile dominance for a moment. I remember the days of desktop gaming, and then suddenly, everyone’s playing on their phones, anywhere, anytime. It’s all about convenience.

The magic in all this is how the industry constantly evolves. It’s as if it has a life of its own, always adapting, always innovating.

Yeva: Lastly, how do you make sure you stay motivated in the challenging iGaming affiliate marketing space, Maddison? Additionally, what motivates you outside of work?

I will mention some of the most important aspects which keep me motivated.
