Betsson purchases Dutch casino and developer for €27.5m
Betsson Group has recently acquired Holland Gaming Technology, an iGaming operator, and Holland Power Gaming, an iGaming development firm, for 27.5 million euros.
The two companies predominantly focus on the regulated gambling market of the Netherlands, with the operator being responsible for the websites of the Goldrun Casino brand, while the development firm provides the online casino with a varied collection of exclusive gambling experiences.
Betsson mentioned that the purchase will cost 27.5 million euros, all of which the group will be funding with its existing assets without taking on any debt. Of the total amount, 16 million euros is due immediately, while the remainder will be paid in two separate installments of 9 million and 2.5 million euros six months and one year after the closing date respectively.
Betsson Group mentioned in its announcement that this purchase will provide the firm with an expanded reach in the regulated gambling market of the Netherlands, increasing the portion of the group’s revenue that’s generated in locally regulated jurisdictions. The company added that this acquisition is in line with its long-term strategic objectives of delivering continued revenue growth through expanding its operations across various key markets.
