Alex Beecham promoted to Managing Director for Checkd Media
Checkd Group has declared the promotion of Alex Beecham to the role of Managing Director for the Checkd Media subsidiary. This promotion is part of a strategy the group is undertaking in order to expand and renew its commercial drive. Now, Beecham will be in charge of the supervision of operations for the brands Winners Enclosure, Footy Accumulators and Oddschanger.
His recent promotion comes after it was revealed that Footy Accumulators saw a record number of wagers being placed in the first month of the year, which was an impressive 20% boost on the previous record. Currently, the Betting Hub on the app has 200,000 users on both Android and IOS.
The newly-promoted director will be conducting the general strategy and will be overseeing the team of the media department, which is based in Manchester, and will be working on boosting commercial growth via new partnerships.
Beecham commented on his promotion saying:
“Checkd Group has established itself as a major force in the sports affiliate landscape and our aim now is to build on what we have already achieved through the development of our popular brands. I am determined to continue serving our community with leading content, products and an optimal experience as Checkd Group expands its horizons.”
Furthermore, Beecham will be working with Checkd Development Managing Director, Adam Patton, and co-founders Jamie Knowlson and Lee Struggles in order to acquire new opportunities and deals in other markets, mainly the promising US market.
Previously, Beecham had the role of Marketing Director, where he correlated promotional activities for the company’s brands. These consumer-facing brands have amassed a following of 2+ million. He also worked at Mr Green for 3 years, as Country Manager, and spent some time with Sky Bet and William Hill.
Jamie Knowlson also said:
“Alex has worked tirelessly in driving forward our core brands, including the ever-popular Footy Accumulators, at a challenging time for the industry. We believe the time is right for Alex to take on my responsibilities in running the media business as we aim to build on our recent achievements.”
