MGA names Charles Mizzi as upcoming CEO
Charles Mizzi will soon be taking on the role of the MGA’s CEO.
The MGA’s board has recently announced that Mizzi will be succeeding the authority’s current Chief Executive, Carl Brincat, starting in late January next year. The new appointee currently works at the Residency Malta Agency, where his responsibilities include leading the government organization and the Maltese residency-through-investment initiative.
The new appointee commented:
“I am excited to have this opportunity to lead the MGA as the authority’s CEO. I am eager to continue building upon our strong foundation to deliver standout performance and continue enhancing Malta’s leading position in the international online gambling sector.”
Malta’s Minister of Economy, Silvio Schembri, remarked:
“Having a plethora of experience leading major initiatives, Mizzi is an excellent candidate to continue building upon the MGA’s strong foundations to maintain Mlata’s leading position in the worldwide gambling sector.”
This announcement follows about one and a half months after the MGA’s current Chief Executive, Carl Brincat, announced that he will be leaving his role at the Maltese authority in January. Brincat worked at the regulator for a bit less than a decade, with the last third of his tenure at the MGA being as the authority’s CEO.
