Allwyn UK appoints Mark Hughes as CSO

Mark Hughes has recently been named the Chief Security Officer of Allwyn UK.

Having over two decades of experience in various security-related roles at major corporations, Hughes is an excellent candidate for his upcoming role at Allwyn’s British division. He is currently leading the information security efforts of Smart DCC, which is a position Hughes has held for just over a year. Prior to this, he worked at Vodafone for more than one and a half decades, with a dozen years of his tenure being as the firm’s Chief Corporate Security Officer.

The Chief Executive of Allwyn’s UK division, Andria Vidler, remarked:

“As we prepare to take over the operations of the UK’s national lottery, ensuring a high standard of security is critical to us, especially as we aim to carry out various enhancements to its platform to provide players with a modern set of experiences. We are excited to expand our team with Mark.”

The new appointee commented:

“I am excited to have this opportunity to join Allwyn ahead of the firm’s takeover of the national lottery’s operations. I am also excited to work for a company that will be contributing to various good causes and helping make dreams become a reality for its players.”

In his new position, Hughes will be responsible for the security of a variety of aspects of the company, including customer information, the firm’s platform, and others. He will be officially taking on his new responsibilities in mid-January, just in time for Allwyn’s upcoming takeover of the operations of the United Kingdom’s national lottery.
